What is a Multi-Touch?
"Multi-Touch consists of a touch screen (screen, table, wall, etc.) or touchpad, as well as software that recognizes multiple simultaneous touch points, as opposed to the standard touchscreen (e.g. computer touchpad, ATM), which recognizes only one touch point. " -Wikipedia
What is the diffrence between a touch screen and a Multi-Touch?
A normal touchscreen may only have one point of contact which limits the users interaction. A MultiTouch from 3M8 enables the user to introduce multiple points of contact.
Why have I not seen this technology before?
Actually, you may have seen this technology before. For example, CNN now utilizes the Multi-Touch interface known as the "magic wall;" Microsoft surface computer is an excellent example of the technology.
How affordable is this technology?
Prices vary depending on the size and capabilities of the system requested. A typical 32" LCD Multi-Touch system will cost anywhere from ($3,500-$5,500). System price and size can be customized to fit the client's needs.
